The Opportunity ...

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Manager with a background in software productization. You will have experience managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, with an emphasis on software products. Experience in robotics or industrial automation is a big added value, as there is a interaction between the software stack and the underlying control architecture. .

The product manager role reports to the Director of Vehicle Engineering. You will be tasked by identifying customer needs and turning that vision into a reality. You will focus on delivering standardized products and product capabilities for JBT Marel Automated Systems.

The product manager will be a central figure within the organization and will collaborate with all our team members: from supporting sales and marketing to collaborating with engineering, R&D, legal, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop the product roadmap for the AGV software and underlying control architecture
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use this information to inform product development.
• Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to define product requirements
• Collaborate with legal department to protect intellectual property of the developed product line.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and promotional plans.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress senior management, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future product decisions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and latest technologies to improve product offerings.

Requirements for the role

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. PMP certification.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on software productization.
• Experience in robotics or automation
• Skills:
• Experience with software development processes and methodologies.
• Experience maintaining an organized product backlog.
• Implement a fast-prototyping new product development agenda
• Experience defining and tracking metrics that measure the success of products.
• Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners.
• Work collaboratively across multiple teams
• Technical Proficiency:
• Familiarity with software development tools and platforms (Git).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Smartsheet or Microsoft Project, PLMs

Travel & Location

• This position is remote. Will travel up to 50% - occasional international travel.
