Principal Responsibilities:
JCC Bernie Camp Counselor
Bernie Camp is a day camp serving school-aged children. Each week the children attend swimming, art, sports, Israeli culture, workshops, and go on a field trip. Counselors accompany their groups to these activities and support their camper's social and emotional development. Groups are all-gender and divided by age.
We are guided by Jewish values and are open to everyone. Staff are welcome to bring their full selves to camp. We celebrate the diversity of our staff, volunteers, families, and campers.
Mandatory Staff Orientation May 27-June 6
Camp Dates June 9-August 15
Full or Part Time Positions Available, Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and displays attention to detail
- Loves working with children and responding to their emergent needs
- Attention to safety protocols and rules
- Ability to work in a team
- Minimum 16 years old for Junior Counselor, 18 years old for Senior Counselor
- Able to pass a background check
- Experience working with youth, ages 5-12
- Personal or professional camp experience
- Positive role model for children
- Community-minded work environment
- Starting at $13/hour for Jr. Counselors, $15/hour for Sr. Counselors
- JCC Membership
- First Aid/CPR Certification provided if work agreement is completed
