Kehilla Afterschool Program Assistant

Principal Responsibilities :

The Kehilla After-School Program Assistant is a kind-hearted, caring, patient person that possesses strong interpersonal skills, which include the ability to effectively relate and communicate with our program participants. He / She / They will be an active participant in our after-school programming. As a Program Assistant, you will be playing a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. In addition, you are responsible for assisting with program implementation and participant safety.

Essential Duties Responsibilities :

• Ensure the safety of program participants
• Facilitate social and recreational activities for participants on a daily basis
• Assist clients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Report all incidents to Supervisor(s) as they occur.
• Prompt participants to interact appropriately with peers and with all persons in program, and at site
• Appropriately completes all required documentation
• Attend all mandatory trainings and personally ensure that their attendance is scheduled per deadlines. Accompanying certifications (CPR; SCIP) are to be sustained and scheduled as per required time frames
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
