Schedule and Location:
8-hour shift
Rio Rancho NM and possibly some travel to Phoenix AZ
CORE FUNCTIONS
Works in partnership with the Senior Project Manager and Human Resources Director to design and implement safety protocols over multiple project locations.
Ensure that company policies adhere to local, state and federal regulations.
Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations.
Conducts routine surveillance of personnel and work space ensuring good safety practices
Investigates Health & Safety related events as called upon.
Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate documents
Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials and supplies
Track the number of incidents and produce reports
Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals
Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations
Attend seminars/workshops for further education
Facilitate on going safety and certification training for employees
Partnership with Human Resources to assist with interview applicants for vacant positions
Prepare and track all OSHA 300 issues and claims
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Have all OSHA certifications, 500, 510
Construction and/or Electrical project experience
Good command in MS Office suite
EHS 3 years’ experience preferred
Occasional need to travel for work
