Schedule and Location:
10-hour shift
Rio Rancho NM and possibly some travel to Los Alamos, NM
CORE FUNCTIONS
Works independently to design and implement safety protocols over multiple project locations.
Ensure that company safety policies adhere to local, state and federal regulations.
Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations.
Conducts routine surveillance of personnel and work space ensuring good safety practices
Investigates Health & Safety related events as called upon.
Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate documents
Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials and supplies
Track the number of incidents and produce reports
Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals
Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations
Attend seminars/workshops for further education
Facilitate on going safety and certification training for employees
Partnership with Human Resources to assist with interview applicants for vacant positions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
OSHA 10, 30, 500, 510 certifications
First aid and CPR Trainer Certifications
Construction and/or Electrical project experience
Good command in MS Office suite
Occasional need to travel for work
