Qualifications
- Capable of reviewing specifications, plans, and create material take-offs from drawings, while considering project site requirements
- Experience using QuoteSoft estimating software utilizing on-screen takeoff (OST) software effectively
- Understanding of various HVAC systems and their function and required components
- Experience with MS Office, especially Excel
- Capable of following company processes and procedures with keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work independently
- Proven ability to "fill-in" missing information for a complete HVAC piping and equipment take-off
- Time management skills required to meet bid due dates
- Strong communication skills
- Equivalent technical HVAC knowledge
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of estimating commercial Mechanical/HVAC systems
Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will be responsible for quantitative and detailed material take-offs of P-V-F and equipment in the preparation of comprehensive budgets, pre-construction proposals, hard bids, negotiated bids, and design-build proposals
- Review specifications and drawings and attend internal pre-bid meetings
- Collaborate with the Estimating team members in the preparation of project bids.
- Coordinate the estimating effort for assigned bids/projects, working closely with the Bid Team
- Maintain accurate documentation and backup files for estimates per company standards
- Interface with Bid Team to provide cost data of HVAC take-offs
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or company management
