Job Description
- Ensures the safety of the children in the program at all times (including on field trips and at the pool).
- Responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities, and free play.
- Ensures that both JCPRD and KDHE guidelines are followed.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized program.
- Effectively communicate with parents, children, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Must Exhibit Initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted.
- Display professionalism always.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Attend all required in-service trainings and meetings.
- Enjoys the outdoors.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or Assistant Program Director
- Salary : $12.00 per hour.
Outdoor Summer Camp locations are at Antioch Park, Big Bull Creek, Heritage Park, Harmon Park, Stoll Park, Shawnee Mission Park, and Trail Ridge Middle School.
Monday - Friday, hours will vary between 7 : 00 a.m. and 6 : 00 p.m.

Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
Preferred Job Requirements :
At least sixteen years of age, some experience working with children 5-12 years.
JCPRD requires reference / background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
