Salary :
60,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience
Position Overview :
As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will receive hands-on training in high-volume operations, warehouse management, and people development. This role is designed to prepare you for a leadership position within our organization, focusing on process improvement, financial oversight, and fostering a collaborative work environment. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving team performance to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & People Development : Lead and mentor warehouse teams, ensuring a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment. Oversee scheduling, workflow management, and performance evaluations.
- High-Volume Operations Management : Manage daily warehouse activities, including stocking, receiving, and inventory control. Optimize the production of doors and windows while coordinating with other departments to address product trends.
- Millwright Duties & Technical Knowledge : Support equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure efficient operations. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Warehouse Operations : Oversee warehouse activities such as order turnaround, inventory control, shipping, and receiving. Implement best practices to improve productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Financial Oversight & P&L Management : Assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Monitor financial performance to meet or exceed targets.
- Process Improvement (Lean / 5S) : Participate in Lean / 5S initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Communication & Collaboration : Maintain open communication with internal departments and national distribution centers. Build customer rapport and address customer service issues effectively.
- Technical Skills (Microsoft Office, WMS) : Use Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems to manage data, create reports, and enhance decision-making processes.
