My client is looking to add a skilled Credit Underwriter to come in at the AVP level. In this role, you will conduct detailed credit risk analyses to support loan requests from the Commercial Real Estate team. The role emphasizes transitional loans across property types like multi-family, office, retail, and construction, handling straightforward deals independently and collaborating on complex transactions. Responsibilities include presenting thorough assessments to facilitate relationship-driven lending decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial and credit risk analyses for borrowers and guarantors, evaluating financials, cash flows, market conditions, and loan structures with limited supervision.
- Prepare clear, risk-focused credit proposals and recommendations, analyze appraisals, and collaborate with Lending Officers throughout transactions.
- Address credit-related inquiries, review loan performance annually, and escalate concerns or covenant issues as needed.
- Support compliance with regulations, assist with audits and reporting and develop expertise in the bank’s commercial lending policies
Preferred Expereince:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in a credit-related role, preferably in banking.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills paired with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Collaborative team player with integrity, interpersonal skills, and a desire for professional growth and expanded responsibilities.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and eager to learn core database management programs.
Salary : $110,000 - $145,000
