About the Opportunity:
On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing community bank, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join their leadership team. This is a critical role that will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial strategy, business planning, and performance analysis across the organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling—ideally within the banking or broader financial services sector. This is an opportunity to bring both analytical rigor and strategic insight to a mission-driven institution that prides itself on local service and strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the bank’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads and executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making, capital planning, and profitability analysis.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Partner with business line leaders to evaluate product performance, pricing strategies, and investment opportunities.
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.
- Support regulatory and audit requirements as needed, including stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of analysts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA and/or CPA/CFA preferred.
- 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in banking or financial services required; knowledge of regulatory requirements and capital planning a plus.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making at the executive level.
- Strong systems knowledge (Excel, general ledger systems, and planning tools such as Adaptive Insights or similar).
Salary : $150,000 - $165,000
