Full-Time Nanny Position in Stowe, VT

Start Date: April 2025
Compensation: $1,100–$1,200 per week Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays & Paid Personal Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Family:

A warm and welcoming family in Stowe, VT, is looking for an experienced and engaging nanny to provide exceptional care for their two young children—a toddler and an infant. The family values a Montessori-inspired approach and seeks a nanny who can create a nurturing and educational environment.

Children:

• Toddler (2 years old):
• Initially shy but warms up quickly in familiar settings.
• Attends daycare five days a week. The family would love a nanny to reinforce pre-literacy and reading skills.
• Enjoys a well-balanced diet but has a severe peanut allergy. The household is peanut-free and follows a diet that avoids refined sugars and processed foods.
• Takes a daily nap from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM.
• Infant:
• Formula-fed and beginning solid foods (a mix of purees and baby-led weaning).
• Outgoing and vocal, easily engaging with new people.
• Takes two naps per day (morning and early afternoon) and follows wake windows of approximately three hours.
• No known allergies or health concerns.

Additional Household Information:

• The family is currently renting a home where the property owners have two outdoor cats and a chicken coop with 12 chickens. Their toddler enjoys interacting with the animals, so the nanny should be comfortable around them.
• Occasionally, one parent will be working from home.

Nanny Responsibilities:

• Provide nurturing and attentive care for both children.
• Plan and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Assist with potty training.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children in alignment with the family’s dietary preferences.
• Handle children’s laundry and maintain an organized, tidy play environment.
• Transport the children to activities such as playdates, library story time, open gyms, and playground outings (a personal vehicle is required).

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Experience with infants and toddlers, particularly in early childhood education or Montessori-inspired caregiving.
• Knowledge of food allergies and experience handling dietary restrictions safely.
• Reliable, engaging, and patient with a passion for child development.
• Comfortable with animals and an outdoor-friendly environment.
• Holds a valid driver’s license and has a reliable vehicle for transporting children.
