What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician/Camp Counselor position at JD Kennels - Camp David for Dogs & Cats?
We are looking for a new team member to join our friendly, hard-working, and dedicated team here at JD Kennels.
Primary responsibilities include: taking care of dogs and cats, ensuring they are played with, safe, happy, clean, fed, hydrated, and well at all times. It's important that we clean their rooms, yards, and play areas multiple times throughout the day and spend lots of time with them in their play yards. We run a strict schedule.
Physical requirements include: ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping, ability to speak and hear well to effectively convey information and understand instructions, and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
While we do spend a good amount of time playing with pets, the job mostly consists of cleaning/organizing/feeding/medication administration/private playing/food prep/etc.
