We’re seeking a dynamic and hands-on Business Intelligence Manager to lead and grow our BI team, and to implement an innovative, self-service program that delivers measurable value to our end users.
The Business Intelligence Leader will be responsible for coaching and guiding a high-performing team of analysts, developing scalable BI processes, and overseeing the Tableau Self-Service Program. This is a hands-on leadership role where leading by example is essential. You’ll be expected to step in alongside your team—whether that’s working within the Tableau platform, troubleshooting end-user issues, or providing strategic direction—all while coaching and developing your team. You will work closely with data engineering and AI teams to create and execute a BI strategy that excites, empowers, and delivers results for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead from the front by mentoring and guiding a team of skilled BI analysts.
• Be a role model for your team, setting the standard for collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Actively promote a culture of learning and innovation within the BI team, ensuring they are supported and empowered to excel.
2. Tableau & Self-Service Program Ownership:
• Own and expand our Tableau and data self-service program, ensuring users are equipped to make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Lead by example in delivering a self-service program that provides real, measurable value to stakeholders.
3. BI Strategy Development & Execution:
• Collaborate with your team, Data Engineering, and AI teams to define and implement a forward-thinking BI strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure the strategy is impactful and widely adopted across the organization.
4. Hands-On Leadership & Support:
• Lead by example, stepping in to support your team with Tableau platform challenges, troubleshooting end-user issues, and providing mentorship on complex projects.
• Show initiative in solving problems and guiding your team through technical challenges, while ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.
• Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reporting and insights that drive informed decision-making across the company.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's
Years of Experience: 8
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education Level: Master's
Years of Experience: 10
Preferred Field of Expertise: 1-3 years of management experience, Analytics or Data Science
Reports To (Supervisor Title): Director of Business Intelligence
Travel: Domestic % of Time: Up to 25%
Workplace Setting: Hybrid (2-3 days a week On-Site)
