What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Developer – Residential Remodeling position at JDI Construction?
As a Project Developer, you will be the key link between the sales/design process and the construction team. Once a project enters the pipeline, you’ll ensure all the pieces are in place before construction begins. This includes:
- Preparing permit applications and supporting documents
- Ordering long-lead materials and verifying selections
- Coordinating and informing subcontractors about upcoming scopes of work
- Meeting with homeowners and internal team (project managers, designers) to align on scope, schedule, and expectations
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of pre-construction
- Experience working directly with homeowners and trade professionals
- Comfortable learning and using construction management software (Buildertrend)
- Basic computer skills (Google Drive, email, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Previous experience in residential construction or remodeling is a plus
