Piping Project Manager

JDI Industrial Services is the industrial maintenance division of J. Davis Inc., a family-owned organization providing construction, grading, supplemental maintenance, and industrial services to South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. JDI Industrial Services is now seeking an Electrical Department Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations, management, and strategic direction of the electrical Department within JDI Industrial Services. This role involves managing a team of electrical professionals, ensuring project delivery meets quality and safety standards, driving business growth, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership within the industrial and construction sectors

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage piping projects from initial planning to final completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of piping systems for industrial projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to meet project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure that all projects comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Manage and supervise project teams, including contractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
• Monitor project progress, addressing issues and risks that arise, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that work is completed to quality standards.
• Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior management.
• Ensure effective communication among project stakeholders to guarantee timely decision-making.
• Manage procurement and logistics for materials and equipment related to piping systems
  
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years of experience in piping project management, preferably in the industrial services sector.
• Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Strong business ethics with regards to budgets, invoicing and payments
• Familiarity with construction project management software is a plus
• Reading contract documents and P&ID drawings
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
