Job Summary:
The Director of Rooms is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high service and operational standards. This role includes managing the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and any other related departments, driving revenue opportunities, and fostering a culture of excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the Rooms Division, including Front Office/Guest Services, Housekeeping, and other key Rooms Division operations.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Ensure all departments adhere to hotel brand standards, policies, and procedures.
Supervise and lead department managers and staff, providing training, motivation, and performance evaluations.
Monitor and manage the Rooms Division budget, forecasting revenue and controlling costs to achieve financial goals.
Analyze guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the guest experience.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to maximize room revenue and occupancy rates.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in hospitality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably in the Rooms Division.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in hotel management software
Hyatt Experience Preferred, But Not Necessary
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
