What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fiber Optic Cable Installer position at JE&R CONTRACTORS LLC?
Conduct a route survey and inspection prior to cable installation
Prepare Larson trailer and for loading cable reel in safety manner.
Prepare Air Compressor and to hook up to the truck for transportation to the jobsite.
Placed all materials needed for the day into the truck such as hoses, Cable lubricants include
polywater4, and GMP tornado blower machine.
Setup and operate cable placing equipment such as Larson reels, fiber blowers, and cable
tuggers.
During cable installation, the cable should be handled manually and store on the ground
carefully.
Conduct and prepare safety measures, such as PPE, flags, cones, and other road work signs.
Housekeeping should be placing as soon the job done and conduct a clear inspection.
Interpret print underground piping as-built and blowing schedules
Installation and preparing of fiber optic cabling
Maintain inventory
Installing, troubleshooting and repairing of cables, end user equipment and other telecommunication equipment.
Establish, and enforce best practice processes for network planning, onsite configurations and monitoring.
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
