Job Description:
- We are seeking an Outside Plant Construction Technician I to join our team in Eau Claire, WI. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in building the infrastructure powering tomorrow's communication networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general construction tasks in various weather conditions, adhering to safety standards.
- Aids in transporting construction equipment to and from the worksite.
- Assists with and executes the installation of aerial and buried fiber based on maps, staking sheets, and locate markings.
Requirements:
- 6 months experience in any combination of customer service, electrical or utility construction, technical certification (or higher), or current military service with honorable discharge.
- Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines to meet business needs.
What You'll Do:
- Climbs poles, ladders, towers, and other structures as required, utilizing a bucket truck when necessary.
- Installs and sets enclosures, including buried and aerial vaults, pedestals, and handholes.
- Lables and marks fiber optic and copper facilities accurately.
