Summary:
The Jedco Resistance Welder plays a crucial role in creating the highest quality sheet metal parts for the defense and aerospace industry. Each welder will have the opportunity to learn a specific trade that is essential in the aerospace and defense industry. This position involves setting up and operating precision resistance welding equipment. Testing and inspecting before and after processing components while always ensuring the quality and efficiency of welding processes. The Resistance Welder contributes to the overall success of the manufacturing department by meeting production requirements and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Set up resistance welding machines according to operation sketch instructions.
- Operate resistance welding equipment, including tack weld guns, spot, and Seam welding machines to perform qualified welds.
· Preform microscope evaluation of weld samples.
· Learn and understand resistance welding equipment and fixtures to perform welding operations to the dimensional requirements.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area.
· Conduct experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials.
· Perform production resistance welding on various parts needed.
· Perform any other duties as assigned/required by leadman/supervisors.
· Work together with other team members to overcome potential obstacles.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
· General CNC and fabrication knowledge is plus, but not required.
· Experience with metalworking tools such as, sanders, grinders, etc… is strongly encouraged.
· Capable of multitasking.
· Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to fluently communicate in English (reading, writing, verbal).
· Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of basic manufacturing procedures and GD&T.
· High school diploma with general math skills required.

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
