Jeff Martin Auctioneers is one of the fastest growing auction businesses in the nation, because our customers "Experience the Difference" we deliver. As we grow, we are looking for key roles such as the Territory Sales Manager to continue facilitating that growth.
The ideal Territory Sales Manager candidate will not just have outbound/B2B sales experience, but also experience with construction equipment and auctions, as that is the service the TSM will be selling. TSM's are our sales road warriors, finding folks who need help offloading/liquidating heavy equipment and similar items so that way our yards are full and ready for auction day.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales, marketing, financial and structural strategies within the market of the assigned territories. The job duties include working with all sales representatives and marketers, communicating about sales goals and expectations and gathering research about the target market.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Introduce company/auction services to equipment owners
- Assist customers in converting their surplus assets into cash
- Generate/maintain Contractor-Dealer relationships
- Analyze trends/competition and implement marketing strategies
- Contribute to the processes of recruiting new sales employees.
- Achieve/exceed established sales goals
- Manage/Service accounts in person or via phone/email
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (on the road job)
- 2-5 years in heavy equipment rental/sales
- Experience developing & managing a sales territory
- History of successful sales/networking (ideally within the region)
- Excellent communication and follow up skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook.)
- Willingness to work competitively and gain positive results.
