Jeff Wyler CDJR is accepting applications for Automotive Technicians! We are seeking Certified Technicians & Technicians who are looking for a place they can call home, not just a job!
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive dispatchers’ repair orders and take them to the stall area.
- Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, by dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required, or if repairs will need additional time
- Document work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
- Keep the shop area neat, and clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.

Qualifications
Automotive Technician – Qualifications
- Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
- ASE certifications is a PLUS.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
