Vice President – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Jefferies LLC) – Perform enterprise development of trading app suite for the Securities Finance (SF) business area within Jefferies Equities division. Collaborate with front and office stakeholders to collect requirements and functional analysis of various products in the SF domain space. Perform technical design and development of software using various Java and .NET technologies, and design, develop and support strategic trading system buildouts to cater to the SF user base globally. Coordinate testing with QA team and business stakeholders. Own the CI/CD pipeline (Bitbucket, Bamboo) for SF technology. Lead the AWS cloud infrastructure for strategic product implementation. Lead a team to establish strategic Data warehouse for SF using AWS cloud products. Work with developers and testers to deliver a scalable data warehouse platform. Collaborate with regional business stakeholders to define various dashboards for trading insight creation. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or a financial software development role or Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or a financial software development role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: developing distributed enterprise trade applications; working in the securities finance supply and demand space focusing on locates and trade lifecycle (pre- trade and post-trade) functions; project and stakeholder management; AWS cloud services; Java, across both client (UI) and server-side; and SQL. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. Salary: $170,000/year.
