What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumber Yard Foreman position at Jefferson Barns and Lumber?
**PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH LUMBER!!!**
You MUST be familiar and have experience with building materials.
Duties will include, but are not limited to: keeping an orderly inventory within the yard, receiving daily inventory shipments and verifying counts on Bill of Ladings, reporting directly to branch manager with any issues, discrepancies, damaged material, etc.
The ideal candidate will be working with the customer base on a day-to-day basis. Customer service and a positive attitude is of the utmost importance. The candidate should be willing to engage in a fast-paced atmosphere and be a team player. Must be on time and willing to work.
Individual will be responsible for ensuring yard personnel provide prompt and courteous service to customers and professional contractors along with maintaining a safe, clean and well organized lumber yard.
- Lumber/Building Materials industry experience is a must!
- Operate a forklift (Moffett/ Piggyback experience is preferred)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds, minimum.
