The Accounting Specialist will manage essential accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This is a full-time position with full benefits, including insurance, 148 PTO hours per year, 56 hours of paid Holidays per year including the day after Thanksgiving, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match. Tuition reimbursement and a grow our own Medical Assistant Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific Competencies:
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records on a regular basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate records of financial data and ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely collection.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
- Stay current on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma. Associates in accounting preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounting or related role.

- Able to enter accurate financial /numerical data.
