The Records & Licensing Supervisor is responsible for administering the daily operations of the Clerk & Recorder Records & Licensing Division, a diverse team with specialized expertise. This includes assisting, advising, and updating team members with areas of the division’s responsibilities, scheduling daily coverage and rotation of employee shifts, and working with the director to maintain a welcoming and efficient public-facing office. The Records & Licensing Supervisor is part of the leadership team reviewing statistical analysis of operations, developing training, communicating with vendors and title companies, and updating the director with complex problems and non-routine situations as they arise.
Ideal Candidate
This position is well suited to an individual looking to use their Expertise in personnel management and customer service to support the community alongside a diverse team of dedicated public service professionals. The candidate must also have the proven ability to move between diverse tasks with ease and must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with constantly evolving priorities. The candidate will assist with the development and maintenance of training materials and manuals and will be responsible for training staff. Spanish language skills and/or experience working with individuals from various cultures and communities is highly valued.
Schedule
This position operates on our four-day work week (Monday-Thursday). This position is scheduled in-office, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $34.50-$40 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Essential Duties
- Assist with the eRecording process including implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, training, follow-up, account setup and ACH deposits. Assist with determining troublesome areas of system for improvement with vendor.
- Resolve complex and routine problems with customers, processes, and software. Determine appropriate resolution using judgment, knowledge, and experience.
- Communicate with staff via meetings, memos, and email for updates and changes, participate in state and local sessions specific to recording and the land record industry, clerk to the board support, passports, and liquor licensing.
- Interpret and ensure adherence and compliance to state, county and departmental policies and procedures, statutes, and laws.
- Attend classes and training to acquire and maintain a technical and complex level of professional knowledge and expertise relating to areas of oversight.
- Supervises staff in area of responsibility. Administers and makes recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting subordinates, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, scheduling, granting leave, appraisals, and taking corrective action. Conducts performance evaluations and communicates short- and long-term goals and objectives. Submits personnel records and reports as required by the county. Assists and advises subordinates as necessary, resolves problems as non-routine situations arise, and ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates changes in policy and procedures to direct reports and implements them as directed.
