The anticipated hiring range for this role is: $20.00 - $22.00 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.
This is a Limited position with a projected end date of: 11/20/2025
The employment status is Limited (Fixed-Term) with an anticipated assignment end date after one year and is eligible for medical coverage starting the month after hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work involves constructing trails using hand tools and power tools and working around heavy equipment.
- Employee is responsible for maintaining trails, installing erosion control devices and inspecting the trail system.
- Work also involves vegetation control, constructing stairs, tie walls and fencing
- This position may involve snow removal.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate and;
- 1 year of work-related experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of specifically trails maintenance/construction.
- Experience with Natural Resources and/or instruction.
- Additional course work in Natural Resource Management, Outdoor Recreation, Park Maintenance or related field.
Additional Job Information:
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment, including skid steer, roller/compactor, water pump, chainsaw and a variety of hand tools and power tools. Requires ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver's license. If you possess an out of state license, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date.
