Jefferson County Public Health Service is seeking temporary Public Health Specialists to:
· Coordinate and complete the necessary functions of the local health department.
· Collect information and then document in NYSDOH data bases.
· Assist with Public Health program activities including Single Point of Entry for Children's Services and/or the Lead Poisoning Prevention program.
· Gather information; tabulate data; prepare reports with charts and graphs; develop work plans; and maintain records.
· Assess and plan for special environmental and communicable disease public health programming.
· Provide health education to the community and to providers via media, meetings, tabling and presentations.
Salary Ranges: $27.95 - $35.00 (2024 rates)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
