Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floor Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including nursing homes and critical care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, with a focus on individuals with diverse needs, including children, seniors, and those with disabilities. The Floor Nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor patient health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and coding when necessary.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia and those requiring senior care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
- Support patients with disabilities by providing tailored assistance and advocacy.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children and individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
