Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients, particularly in long-term care and geriatrics settings. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
Work Schedule: Pick Schedule A or B
A: Work 16hrs on Monday and Tuesday, then 8 hrs. on Wednesday
B: Work 8 hrs. on Wednesday and 16hrs on Thursday , Friday
Your work week will be 3 days at 40hrs/week and 4 straight days off
Nurse will remain on same cart for scheduled shifts
No Ghost hours for weekday, shift diff for evenings is $4hr.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Perform catheterization and manage infection control protocols.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
- Provide support for patients with dementia and developmental disabilities.
- Engage in sterile processing of medical instruments as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with infection control practices and sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems, particularly Epic, is desirable.
