We are actively seeking Press Maintenance Technicians to join the JIC team on 3rd Shift (core schedule, Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am)
1. Role: Support production in meeting daily requirements by repairing and improving production equipment.
2. Responsibilities: Equipment repairs and improvements, work area organization, assist engineering with equipment installation, quality countermeasures, spare parts tracking, emergency breakdown response, work order completion, program back ups, safety/PPE, acquire training as needed, downtime recording, predictive maintenance tasks, and preventative maintenance tasks. Other duties as assigned.
3. Job Description:
· Make equipment repairs and improvements that are identified from PM inspections and downtime analysis to meet monthly downtime goals.
· Perform monthly analysis of downtime which may include why/why analysis or similar method. You will receive a sheet that will give you the previous month/s downtime history that will identify the machines that are causing most of the downtime.
· Daily 5S organization of work areas. This means to tour your department work area and general area around your assigned machines. Verify all electrical cabinets are closed, no maintenance items are sitting line side, all guards are properly installed and general COP activities. This includes the area around where your toolbox is located.
· Assist engineering with equipment installation.
· Investigate quality related incidents, identify root cause and implement countermeasure, which may include performing why/why analysis.
· Verify MRO has appropriate spare parts for daily operation.
· Respond to calls during production and make necessary repairs in a timely manner. This requires immediate response to any and all calls. If you are unable to go to the call immediately, you need to contact another technician to respond to that call. You must monitor your radio at all times to hear for calls. You must also monitor the radio to understand what other technicians are working on and if they are in need of assistance. If you have been working on a line for 20 minutes, you need to contact your supervisor to inform him of the situation. Verify root cause was counter measured to prevent repeated failure. In addition, technician should at a minimum log into the Plexus workcenter and log out before leaving the line after it is running. The goal is to log in as soon as you arrive at the line and log out when you are done working on the line.
· Technicians are responsible for their assigned work areas and are required to support surrounding areas as needed. If you hear a call and know the assigned technician is busy or at break, you are responsible for answering for that call.
· Coordinate breaks and lunches with technicians in the department. If a shift has multiple technicians at least one technician must actively answer press calls at all times. There are circumstances that may arise where this may not be possible, but it should not happen on a daily basis.
· Complete assigned work orders as scheduled and update supervisor when complete.
· Record programmable device back up as changes are made.
· Follow all safety policies and correct use of all PPE.
· Initiate needed training to maintain skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
· Verify downtime that associate is selecting in Plexus is correct. Should also be making entries into the Equipment Log in Plexus. Entries should be downtime reasons and solutions, items that fall within the change point control, reoccurring problems, when replacing parts that are stocked in MRO, etc. Technician should also be reviewing the Equipment Log at the beginning of every shift to see what is happening on the previous shifts.
· Follow up with operators/line associates and Team Leaders at a minimum once per day to check for any reoccurring problems or failures that may occur. Some line problems are repaired by the production team and maintenance is not aware of the failures.
· Fill in timesheet on a daily basis.
· Review maintenance communication board daily. Many items are communicated through this board including business plan, improvements, downtime causes, etc.
· Complete assigned PM tasks and assist to identify future PM tasks
· Perform PM inspections, request work orders for items that cannot be fixed during inspection, and use inspection data to identify PM tasks
· Other duties as assigned

Job Skills & Requirements
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends when required
- Must have 2-4 year engineering degree or 2-4 years of maintenance experience
- Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic skills
- Read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints
- Mitsubishis PLC or equivalent knowledge a plus
- Strong communication skills and intuitive problem solving skills
- Must be able to stand up to 10 hours per day with frequent walking
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Previous experience with hand/power tools
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
