Education, Minimum Experience and Required Skills: High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
Experience and Skills preferred: Phlebotomy Certificate. Three or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting. Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
Job Summary: The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens for laboratory analysis. They will transport blood specimens to the laboratory and accession blood specimens into the Laboratory information system. This role ensures accurate and efficient collection, handling, and processing of blood specimens, maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position.
