- Typical hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager manages all staff assigned to them. Ensures the delivery of quality patient care to a defined group of patients. This position assures adequate skills and abilities to meet patient problems, maintains financial control, collaborates and maintains open communication with medical staff, unit personnel, and other ancillary department. Monitors appropriate utilization of resources in the provision of care and assures regulations/standards are met. The Nurse Manager will ensure all departmental staff will be informed of policies/ procedures and establish/maintain an environment of compliance.
Patient Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
- Technical or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Oncology/Infusion experience preferred.
- This is a Safety Sensitive Position.*
- Minimum of 3 years’ of clinical nursing experience with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, patients, families, and faculty
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Basic flexibility to adapt to changes
- Attention to detail
- Provides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospital
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent leadership and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience with 2 years in leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Experience with budget management, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence based clinical practice preferred.
