What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Administrative Medical Assistant position at Jefferson Urgent Care, LLC?
Currently hiring Medical Administrative Assistants seeking Part-time or Full-time employment with an Independent Urgent Care.
We provide care for our patients, work as a team, support our work family, and serve our community 7 days a week! We are closed on some major holidays and have early or late closures/openings for most minor holidays as well as inclement weather.
Our hours of operation are Mon: 8a-7p, Tues-Fri: 8a-6p, Sat: 8a-1p, and Sun: 8a-5p. Daily Shifts are scheduled as partial and staggered. We favor a set schedule format to provide as much consistency and stability as possible for our team, and the clinic as a whole, while also supporting one another to cover sick-time, advanced & planned time off requests, unexpected life or personal/family events, vacations, family obligations, etc. We believe in the honor system and so while there is no "point's system" or absence limit, there is an expectation of personal accountability and not taking advantage of this unique benefit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet and triage patients in a fast-paced environment
- EMR utilization, answering phones, pharmacy liaising, filing, etc.
- Duties involved in registration, insurance verification, and co-pay collection processes
- Retrieve and provide Medical Records
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, policies, and procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
- Communicate professionally, compassionately, and clearly; orally, in writing, and EMR documentation
- Balance payment records, maintain cash drawer, and perform bank deposits
- Opening mail, forwarding invoices, collaborate with billing department
Qualifications:
- Medical Office experience
- Microsoft Office experience
- EMR Experience
- Excellent People skills
