We are seeking a part-time site supervisor to assist with preparing & closing the venue at Waterloo Village (Stanhope, NJ), conducting operational tasks during weddings and other events to ensure a smooth guest experience, and overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of this property.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of the event spaces at Tyler Arboretum (525 Waterloo Rd, Stanhope, NJ 07874).
- Ensure the venue property is taken care of and equipment is in their current locations with correct inventory amounts.
- Oversee venue setup prior to scheduled events and moving equipment like tables, chairs, etc.
- Address any maintenance or operational issues that may arise during events and escalate as necessary.
- Transporting guests in a golf cart around the venue and assisting with electrical needs for ceremony areas.
- Oversee end-of-night cleanup after breakdown to ensure the venue is returned to its original condition.
- Serve as a key holder for the venue, responsible for opening and closing procedures on wedding days.
- Coordinate with contractors regarding any maintenance or repairs needed on the property to ensure everything is in working order.
Schedule Expectations
- Our season runs from April to November.
- Friday to Sunday.
- Mondays as needed.
- 20-40 hours.
- Total hours and specific days depend on where we are in the season and may be modified to fit the needs of our business.
Qualifications
- General Handyman capabilities: basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and/or mechanical skills.
- Valid drivers license and your own vehicle to drive to venue or vendor sites.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, walk and stand for 8 hours, and perform manual labor.
- Handle last minute changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors rain or shine.
Compensation
- $16/hr
- Overtime eligible.
- Cash gratuities when working events.
