Practice Administrator

We are seeking an administrative manager, responsible for leadership of all non-clinical operations.
Functions & Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the Medical Director, the Practice Administrator is responsible for management of the clinic’s business operations. Given the broad responsibilities of this position, thorough training and mentorship will be provided in the initial months after hire.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Finance
· Financial strategy, budgeting and planning
· Bookkeeping
· Liaison to accountants, retirement advisor and other professionals
· Oversight of insurance claim submissions, accounts payable and receivable
Human Resources
· Management of performance reviews
· Administration of human resources practices and policies
· Employment law compliance
· Payroll processing
· Provision of equity and inclusion expertise
· Recruitment and hiring
Marketing
· Development and implementation of marketing strategy across digital and physical platforms and distribution methods
· Management of clinic branding such as print materials, signage, apparel
· Assistance with development and maintenance of physician referral relationships
Information Technology
· IT security oversight
· Knowledge and management of EMR system and medical charting
· HIPAA compliance protocols and staff training
Operations
· Direct management of administrative support staff (currently 2 FTEs) and indirect management of all staff
· Facilities management and landlord liaison
· Leadership of weekly staff meeting
· Contribute to planning of staff professional development
· Internal staff communications
· Supply and equipment purchasing
Process Improvement
· Continually identify and pursue opportunities for improvement of systems and procedures
Contract Management
· Vendor liaison
· Continual review and negotiation of contracts to optimize value of support services
Patient Relations
· Resolution of customer service issues elevated beyond front office staff
· Development and maintenance of patient-facing policies to minimize complaints and maximize satisfaction
Job Type:
Full-time, Onsite at 5630 Connecticut Ave. NW, DC
Compensation:
$70,000-$90,000 approximate starting salary, commensurate with qualifications (combination of education and experience) of the successful applicant.
Experience:
- Relevant: 2 years (Preferred)
- Medical Practice Administration and Management: 2 years (Required)
Education:
- Bachelors’ in Business, Health Administration or other related degree (Required)
- MHA or MBA (Preferred)
