Job Description
If High-Performance Automobiles are your hobby and you enjoy interacting with other enthusiasts, this is the position for you! As an Automotive Technical Sales - High-Performance Associate, you will put your knowledge to work receiving incoming calls varying from parts installation questions to technical questions about our automotive parts either before or after they have been purchased and customers are ready to use them in their high-performance projects.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Answer inbound phone calls to advise and assist JEGS customers with their high-performance needs (this is not an “order-entry” position) this is working within the Technical Sales department to help our customers who have needs beyond being ready to place a catalog order.
- Listen with understanding to customer needs and be able to clearly communicate technical knowledge to produce sales.
- Keep merchandise return ratio at an acceptable level.
- Troubleshoot car parts and problems with customers.
- H.S. Diploma or GED required.
- High-Performance knowledge/background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be proficient at typing and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience in a Call Center and/or sales environment is a plus.

- 10 am - 7 pm
The Ideal Candidates Are:
- The ideal candidates are typical people who have hands-on experience working on cars putting various high-performance parts on or rebuilding cars, engines, etc.
- Ideal job for the person who loves Drag Racing and all types of Auto Racing.
- Great opportunity for auto mechanics who are still passionate but tired of wrenching and the physical nature of that job.
- Must be able to train in Columbus, OH for three weeks
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring
