Job description
We are excited to announce the opening of our new primary location in Blackstone, VA. We are searching for individuals that are interested in working in a small business manufacturing environment. We will train them on the position.
This position requires a detail oriented person that will be working with un-cured silicone rubber and composite materials.
Responsibilities:
- Lay materials in a specific pattern in molds
- Shaping part using a hand held forming tool
- Bonding fabrics or other materials to rubber part using hand and finger pressure.
- Building up parts by applying layers of materials.
- Placing parts in holding fixture or affixing to mandrel for subsequent operations.
- Inserting part or layers in mold cavity.
- Trimming, cutting to length
- Splicing
- Lift up to 30 lb molds and move to heated press
- Will be standing during work period
- Follow written procedures
- Operate equipment
- Be able to use measuring devices such as calipers and tape measure
- Must work well under pressure and complete assignments to established end dates.
Mandrels, molds, forming tools, knives, razors, scissors, brush, surgical needles, “c” clamps, vacuum and air hoses, solvents, adhesives, cement, Dacron, silicone, bonding agents, fabrics, metal inserts, valve inserts, urethane, neoprene.
No experience necessary in this field. Training will be provided. Experience working assembly lines in any field a plus.
