JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Manufacturing Apprentice to join our growing team.
GENERAL JOB INFORMATION : Primary goal is to support the department’s goal of “minimizing production downtime”. This will be accomplished by performing preventative maintenance tasks with a high-level detail. A long-term potential and desire to become a maintenance technician is highly preferred but not required. We are looking for the type of person who enjoys working with mechanical/automotive repairs

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST POSSES:
- Strong Mechanical skills
- Knows the right tool for the job
- A high level of self-motivation
- Strong Organization skills
- Great attention to detail
- Will be spending most of the shift cleaning and testing inspecting equipment
- General computer proficiency
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment and multi-task regularly
- Ability to work weekends and other varied shifts as assigned on short notice
- Understands and can identify JELD-WEN PIR and other process specs and tolerances
- Must be able to start and run all major equipment
