We are seeking a Project Manager to join a local Architectural/Construction company on the East side of Madison for a direct hire.
Pay: $80,000 - 100,000
Description:
As a Project Manager, you’ll be the critical link between our internal production teams and our clients — primarily construction companies, general contractors, architects, and designers. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of custom architectural millwork and fixture projects from award to final installation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with superior quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage multiple custom millwork and fixture projects simultaneously for commercial construction clients.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
· Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, purchasing, logistics) to coordinate timelines, approvals, and materials.
· Interpret architectural drawings and client specifications to ensure project scope is understood and executed precisely.
· Create and maintain project schedules, proactively identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
· Manage all project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and close-out materials.
· Monitor project budgets, track job costs, and coordinate with accounting on billing and financial milestones.
· Conduct job site visits and attend construction meetings as needed to monitor progress and resolve field issues.
· Promote a customer-focused approach while ensuring quality standards are upheld at every step.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
· 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in architectural millwork, casework, or custom manufacturing
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and coordination with general contractors
· Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems a plus
· Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· PMP certification a plus
