The Pipe Crew Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used in trench excavation and pipe installation. This role ensures proper handling and placement of drainage and utility pipes on various construction projects, including challenging conditions such as deep trenches.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery for trenching and pipe placement.
- Perform daily pre- and post-project equipment inspections and minor maintenance.
- Assist with manual pipe alignment when required, collaborating with the labor crew.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Navigate and operate equipment safely in tight or challenging conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
