JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY :
The Engineering Manager effectively assists the President and coordinates the Engineering objectives of the company. They contribute to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. This role requires a strong technical background in hydraulic and control engineering, as well as excellent leadership and project management skills. The successful candidate will oversee a team of engineers, designers, programmers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions.

Requirements : COMPETENCIES :
- Manages all activities related to the engineering objectives of the company. Maintains and coordinates efforts in the project management software. Represents the company with customer and supplier visits and when attending trade shows and association meetings.
- Participates in company planning sessions providing information related to engineering capabilities and future product and software advancements.
- Communicates and manages company objectives to associates in responsible department(s).
- Oversee the integration of the company’s product into customer applications (mobile or industrial).
- Manages, conducts, oversees feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ensures to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in hydraulic and control technologies.
- Ensures appropriate engineering software, hardware and other tools are available and maintained applicable to the needs.
- Manages and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
- Prepares and presents technical reports, proposals, and documentation to stakeholders, if necessary.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
- Manages and mentors the engineering team, providing technical guidance and support. Ensuring appropriate staffing requirements are in place based on current and anticipated business needs. Conducts interviews and hiring individuals with final approval from management.
- Arranges training of new and current associates to maintain policies, procedures and work instructions are understood and followed.
- Focuses on continuous improvement in the areas of engineering methods and processes. Oversees ECO’s, part number creation, and all engineering documentation.
