CLASSIFICATION: Non-Key Employee
SUMMARY:
Under general direction from the Security Shift Supervisor, accepts incoming calls to the casino in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner; provides information to the caller or directs the call to the appropriate destination. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Takes and delivers messages or transfers call to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
- Provides information regarding hours, events and promotions to the general public.
- Oversees lost and found.
- Projects a friendly and professional image to the customer.
- Maintains files of correspondence, records and other materials with minimal supervision.
- Complies with all internal controls and policies and procedures of position.
- Maintains and operates office machines, equipment, and computers. Performs or coordinates general maintenance and repair.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Must be efficient in report writing (i.e., incident reporting)
- Dispatches security officers as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred one year work experience in reception or answering a multi-telephone line system required.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- No felony, theft or stealing convictions.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.

Members of the Jena Band of Choctaw Tribe shall be given absolute preference with respect to hiring, promotions, training, contracting, and separation from employment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
- Skill in operating a multi-telephone line system.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
- Occasional work is performed in a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a moderate noise level.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts are required.
- Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
