Jenison Animal Hospital is a small (yet busy!) veterinary hospital serving cats and dogs in Jenison, MI. We are looking for an enthusiastic ROCK STAR to join our team! We are a fast-paced, high-energy, locally loved hospital that is growing our team and services. We focus on taking care of our community Monday - Friday and have most weekends off. As the hospital grows, so do our services & care, and we are looking for another passionate individual who is interested in growing with us!

We are looking for a responsible veterinary technician to undertake a variety of tasks related to patient care and the care of the animals in our care. You assist with routine examinations, diagnostics, exam rooms, blood draws, and help provide quality care to our client's pets.

Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform blood draws and run basic in-house labs (Idexx)
- Comfortable with pre and post-surgery care
- Ability to assist during surgeries and monitor anesthesia
- Comfortable giving medications and monitoring hospitalized patients
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily workload
- Attention to detail and ability to remain organized and efficient in all tasks
- Ability to be comfortable working with animals of all types and with clients who may be nervous or fearful of these animals
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks promptly
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the team and jump in as needed
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and stand for periods.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
