Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of foundry employees, ensuring repairs and job functions are at the highest standards of quality.
- Assign tasks and work schedules to ensure production targets are met.
- Provide training and guidance to workers on safe and efficient work practices.
- Monitor and control the production process to ensure the efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment.
- Ensure that parts and materials are ordered promptly to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Inspect metal castings to ensure that meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
- Identify and address defects or issues in the casting process, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Ensure that all foundry equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Provide feedback to foundry employees and management on improvements including equipment investments, facility improvements, process changes, and new products and services.
- Work with the Operations Manager to create accurate time and material estimates for jobs.
- Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including wearing protective gear and ensuring a safe work environment to prevent injuries and accidents. Notify the Operations manager of any emergency or injury.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols to manage risks associated with elevated temperature and heavy material.

Requirements:Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a welder, molder, and finisher.
- Knowledge of foundry equipment, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
- Supervisory experience
- Skilled in the art of mold making, parting, pattern pulling, core placement gate, and riser placement.
- Ability to use forklifts, wrenches, grinders, drills, bandsaws, and cutoff wheel
Work Environment

- Ability to teach new team members the basics of foundry work.
