Landscape Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for landscape maintenance, ensuring that all projects are executed to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to groundskeeping, lawn care, tree care, and garden building, as well as effective communication with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee landscape bed maintenance including weeding, trimming, and mulching, and other duties as required
• Manage a crew of 1–3 team members to complete scheduled jobs efficiently and to quality standards
• Create and adjust weekly work schedules based on priorities and weather conditions
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service
• Assist with small hardscape installations such as edging, stone walkways, and retaining walls
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe jobsite practices
• Keep accurate records of completed work and materials used
• Supervise and coordinate daily landscaping operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Lead a team of landscape maintenance workers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Oversee the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, and other landscape features to ensure optimal health and appearance.
• Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues or areas needing improvement.
• Develop and maintain schedules for routine maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide expert recommendations for improvements or changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all landscaping activities.

Requirements

• 2 years of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience required
• Proven reliability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience leading a crew or supervising job sites preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying conditions, and operate landscaping equipment
• Valid driver's license required (clean driving record preferred)
• Strong knowledge of lawn care techniques, tree care practices, irrigation systems, and garden design principles.
• Ability to build effective teams through motivation, training, and performance management.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.25 - $24.00 per hour
