Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Handle industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance, including trash removal and recycling efforts.
• Support porter services by ensuring the exterior of the building is clean and presentable.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care practices and industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
