The author was complaining about his accountant not understanding new technology, being unresponsive, and not providing proactive advice. A couple months later, I met with that writer, and they became my client. Since then, I have completely changed my business model to become more of a proactive service rather than a professional that sells a tax return or an adjusted trial balance.

Key Duties:

• Provide accounting assistance with client cloud-based accounting software
• Prepare corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and individual tax returns
• Prepare payroll, as well as related quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
• Assists with other projects such as preparation of annual 1099s, personal property declaration, sales tax, etc.
• Some administrative duties

Job Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field is required
• 4 - 10 years of experience in accounting preferred
• Must possess the knowledge of basic accounting fundamentals
• Proficient in Excel and capable of learning multiple software programs
• Must have excellent time management, organizational, and confidence
• Proactively communicates any issues/concerns relating to assignments (Critical thinking skill capabilities are essential. If you think there’s a better way, there just may be!)

Salary Range:

$60K - $90K

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
