Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional HR Generalist to join our team in the restaurant industry. This role will be responsible for supporting multiple locations within a designated region, providing a full range of HR functions to ensure smooth operations across our stores. The Regional HR Generalist will work closely with store management, corporate People and Culture Team, and other key stakeholders to foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions across multiple locations.
- In conjunction with the people and culture recruiting team, schedule and conduct interviews, job offers, and onboarding for new employees.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local recruitment agencies, recruiting teams, and job boards.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and HR-related issues.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in handling conflicts, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure that company policies are followed and that workplace issues are resolved effectively.
- Training & Development:
- Collaborate with management teams to identify training needs and provide necessary resources.
- Conduct training sessions on company policies, compliance, and leadership development.
- Monitor employee performance and implement initiatives for improvement.
- Compliance & Legal Requirements:
- Ensure that all locations in the region are in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Support managers with health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with company guidelines and legal standards.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and execution of performance management processes for employees at all levels.
- Provide coaching to managers on effective performance reviews, feedback, and goal setting.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Help assist payroll team with troubleshooting payroll issues and discrepancies.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and answer questions about health plans, leave policies, and other benefits.
- Employee Engagement & Retention:
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to create a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
- Monitor turnover and implement strategies to improve retention across the region.
- Conduct employee surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with management on action plans.
- HR Projects & Reporting:
- Support regional HR initiatives and projects, including employee surveys, HR audits, and process improvements.
- Provide regular reporting on HR metrics such as turnover, hiring trends, and employee satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a generalist or regional HR role, ideally within the fast food or retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with HR software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of employees and managers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of recruitment strategies, employee relations, training, and performance management.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region to visit store locations as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
