Job Summary:
As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will oversee the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for all patients and visitors. You will lead the front desk staff, handle administrative tasks, and ensure positive patient experience, all while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of front desk staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with friendly and professional demeanor.
- Oversee patient check-in and check-out processes
- Verify insurance information, collect necessary documentation, and process payments.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain patient records by accurately entering and updating information in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered service.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
