Jetco is seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Drafter/Designer, with the primary responsibilities of transforming initial rough sketches, designs, and specifications into detailed drawings using SolidWorks. This position will collaborate closely with customers, production managers, and the design team to produce accurate and precise drawings that serve as blueprints for production ensuring that designs are feasible, functional, and meet all necessary standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Drafting: Create, develop, and maintain large assembly models, detailed component drawings, and complex assembly drawings in SolidWorks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with customers, project managers, and the design team to understand project objectives, clarify design requirements, and incorporate feedback into drafts. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment throughout the design process.
- Interpretation: Interpret rough sketches, specifications, and other documentation to accurately translate design concepts into comprehensive drawings. Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Precision and Accuracy: Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all drawings. Verify dimensions, measurements, and specifications to ensure consistency and correctness.
- Revision and Modification: Review drawings and incorporate revisions or modifications as needed throughout the design process. Update drawings to reflect changes and improvements based on feedback and project developments.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to drawings. Organize and manage drawing files and databases to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on drawings to identify errors, discrepancies, or potential issues. Ensure that drawings meet quality standards and are suitable for their intended purpose. Ability to work within a quality management system.
- Time Management: Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones. Prioritize tasks and allocate time efficiently to ensure timely completion of drafts and deliverables.
- Design Management: Ability to interact with customers, project managers and the shop floor to answer project specific questions and bring your design to life.
- Software: Proficient in SolidWorks and ERP Systems.
- Experience: Proven experience as a drafter/designer in a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of machining and fabrication practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
